Family Medicine Residency Program with Osteopathic Recognition


Family Medicine Residency Program

Trinity Health Livingston Family Medicine Residency is fully accredited by the ACGME for 21 positions and provides the designation of Osteopathic Recognition to eligible residents within the program. Trinity Health Livingston Hospital is a progressive, 70-bed community hospital with adult medicine inpatient services and critical care unit, and general and orthopedic surgery services. The hospital moved to its new campus in April 2026.

The Family Medicine Residency Program and primary continuity clinic are based at Trinity Health Brighton, now adjacent to the Livingston Hospital. The outpatient facility includes an18-bed short stay center, outpatient surgery, an active emergency department, a state-of-the-art Cancer Center, lab & radiology services, non-invasive vascular testing, and a number of specialty clinics.

Livingston County is one of the fastest-growing counties in Michigan. Centrally located between Lansing, Ann Arbor, and Detroit, Livingston County is an active suburban/rural community. The county boasts of 20,000 acres of parks, more than 50 lakes, biking paths, downhill skiing, snowboarding, and riding stables.

Our residency offers the best of both worlds for training, a small community hospital, and a larger academic center. Our innovative 2-week mini-block curriculum and our cohesive team-based and family-friendly atmosphere are key to learning.
