Ryan Korlewitz (PGY V)Ryan is from Grand Rapids, Michigan. He attended Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California for his undergraduate degree and after 4 years in the sun, headed back home for his medical education at MSUCOM. In his free time Ryan loves to play golf, tennis, travel, scuba dive, and cheer on the Spartans. Ryan is excited to be at Trinity Health Oakland and hopes to eventually pursue a fellowship in plastics, cardiothoracic surgery, or trauma. |

Meghan Linz (PGY V)Meghan was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. She was a student at The Ohio State University prior to attending Ohio University in Athens, Ohio for her medical education. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her Bernese Mountain dog named Denali, cooking, watching OSU football, and trying new breweries. |

Harleen Aujla (PGY IV)Harleen was born and raised in Mumbai, India before she moved to Indiana at the age of 15. She went to Indiana University Northwest for undergrad and Marian University College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school. She is delighted to be a part of Trinity Health Oakland because of the excellent operative experience and resident camaraderie that exists in this residency program. Her surgical interests are in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. In her free time, Harleen likes working out, biking, hiking, cooking, and reading fiction novels. |

Corey Suthumphong (PGY IV)Corey is originally from West Palm Beach, Florida. He went to undergraduate school at the University of Miami and medical school at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He is currently completing a preliminary year in surgery. Afterwards, Corey will pursue general surgery and is interested in a critical care fellowship. In his free time, Corey enjoys home improvement, hiking, and watching car reviews. |

Kiranpreet Kaur (PGY III)I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. I attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County for undergrad and went to Edward via College of Osteopathic Medicine (Virginia Campus) for medical school. In my free time, I like to spend time with my family and friends, play with our dog Simba, and explore new restaurants and coffee shops. In terms of fellowship, I'm currently interested in colorectal surgery and minimally invasive surgery. |

Imran Ahmed (PGY II)I was born in Toronto, Ontario and had moved to sunny Southern California at a young age where I grew up just 15 minutes from the beach in Irvine. I had studied chemistry at the University of California-Irvine and subsequently moved to Iowa, where I attended Des Moines University for medical school. I enjoy spending time with family, watching sports, and staying active in the gym. |

Safi Bajwa (PGY II)Safi grew up in Southern California. He went to UC Riverside for college and completed his medical degree at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine. Safi is excited to be a part of Trinity Health Oakland and has interests in Colorectal Surgery, Vascular, and Critical Care. In his free time, Safi enjoys playing basketball, exploring state parks, and spending time with his family. |

Joseph Sakel, MD (PGY I)Joe grew up in Battle Ground, Indiana, and completed his undergraduate education at Albion College before attending Indiana University School of Medicine. When he's not at the hospital, he enjoys spending time outdoors, trail running with his dog, and tackling automotive projects. Joe is excited to be training at Trinity Health Oakland and looks forward to a future career as a rural general surgeon, where he can provide comprehensive surgical care to his community |

Adam Sturdivant, MD (PGY I)Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Adam Sturdivant, MD, MPH, MS, earned his bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from Auburn University before completing his graduate and medical education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. His Master of Public Health focused on Healthcare Organization and Policy, examining how healthcare systems are organized, financed, and improved. He also earned a Master of Science in Biomedical and Health Sciences, an interdisciplinary program that strengthened his foundation in the basic and clinical sciences underlying medicine. While attending the UAB Heersink School of Medicine, Adam served as vice-chair of the Student Honor Council, vice-president of the Trauma Surgery Interest Group, and a student representative on the school’s Liaison Committee on Medical Education Continuous Quality Improvement committee. Before beginning general surgery residency at Trinity Health Oakland, he also conducted clinical and translational research in UAB’s Departments of Emergency Medicine, Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, and Radiology. His work included trauma and emergency care, perioperative research, and artificial intelligence applications in medical imaging. Outside the hospital, Adam enjoys spending time with his wife, whether they are cooking, gardening, tackling home-improvement projects, or relaxing at home with their two cats. |

Morgan Perryman, MD (PGY I) PreliminaryMorgan grew up in Westerville, OH. She attended the University of South Carolina for undergrad with a major in Biochemistry and a minor in Art Studio. She headed home for medical school at The Ohio State University. During medical school, she was awarded a Fulbright grant, allowing her to get her Master’s degree in International Healthcare Management Economics and Policy at SDA Bocconi in Milan, Italy. In her free time, she loves to read books, make art, and spend time with friends. |

Allyssa Tomlin, DO (PGY I) PreliminaryAllyssa was born and raised in Utah, where she also completed her undergraduate degree in chemistry at the University of Utah. She moved to Boston for a few years before attending medical school at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Colorado. She plans to pursue an OB/Gyn residency following her preliminary year at Trinity Health Oakland. Outside of the hospital, she loves spending time with her wife and their three cats, trying new restaurants, playing board games, and is a huge movie enthusiast. |
