Why I chose this program/Grand Rapids for my training
Trinity Health Grand Rapids offers a sleep fellowship that truly aligns with my personal and professional interests, particularly at the intersection of Neurology, Psychiatry, Pulmonology and ENT. Coming from a background that integrates multiple disciplines, I value how the program supports fellows in shaping their own clinical and academic paths within sleep medicine. This flexibility and encouragement make me feel confident that I can continue developing my specific interests while contributing meaningfully to the field.
Finally, I believe Grand Rapids offers an ideal setting for those who want the benefits of a city while also providing a great environment to start a family and potentially call home.
Hobbies/what I do outside of work
Outside of work, I enjoy long-distance running and weightlifting, as well as spending meaningful time with my newborn son and attending church. When I have some free time, I also enjoy watching anime and playing video games.
