Why I chose this program/location for my training
I was initially drawn to the program for its strong inpatient training and the opportunity to tailor my education through focused curriculum tracks that align with my interests within Family Medicine. The program’s full-spectrum approach, including strong inpatient exposure and emphasis on continuity of care, stood out to me as an ideal environment to grow into a well-rounded physician.
What ultimately solidified my decision, however, was my interview experience. I immediately felt a genuine sense of warmth and camaraderie among the residents and faculty. It was clear that this is a close-knit, supportive community that values both personal and professional growth. I was especially impressed by the program’s commitment to mentorship, resident wellness and serving a diverse patient population.
It was important to me to choose a program that not only prioritizes excellent clinical training, but also fosters a collaborative and welcoming environment where I know I will be supported throughout my journey.
Hobbies/what I do outside of work
Outside of medicine, I enjoy staying active and spending time outdoors playing tennis or other racket sports and getting out on a good hiking trail. I also enjoy traveling and exploring new coffee shops and restaurants. When I’m winding down, you’ll usually find me reading or watching true crime documentaries. And recently I have been learning how to play the ukulele.
